Advanced Optical Design

BunnyLens TR is based on Hanita Lenses’ BunnyLens AF aspheric IOL. BunnyLens TR was designed using the most advanced technology by the professional R&D team of optical and mechanical engineers. The optical profile algorithm of the lens was calculated using ZEMAX™ software – a simulating tool for the optical design optimization. Calculations were aimed to minimize all aberrations, including the spherical aberration of the cornea, and to optimize the MTF (Modular Transfer Function).

Eye Model

The Optical design of BunnyLens TR was performed using the advanced Arizona Eye model [1].
The parameters and dimensions of the eye model are consistent with average human data. The model was designed to match clinical levels of aberrations, both on and off axis. The retina curvature is designed to split the tangential and sagittal foci off-axis, providing an optimal platform for correction of toric aberration. The result is an accurate simulation of the visual performance of the BunnyLens TR in the Postoperative eye.

Geometrical Design

  • BunnyLens TR ensures excellent stability and centration due to the 4-point haptic design
  • 360° square edge in order to minimize PCO

Hanita Lenses Toric IOL Calculator

The preoperative parameters include the incision location and the Surgical Induced Astigmatism both supplied by the surgeon

  • Flat Keratometry (in D) …………….. 40
  • Flat axis ………………………………….. 20
  • Steep Keratometry (in D) …………… 45
  • Steep axis ……………………………….. 110
  • Axial Length ……………………………. 21
  • Surgically Induced Astigmatism …. 0.5
  • Incision Location (IL) ……………….. 90

Placement of the IOL is provided by the experienced team of engineers in Hanita Lenses based on optical calculations

Stability and Centration

High level of rotational stability is maintained due to the wide angle of contact with the capsular bag.

Material
