Thank you to everyone who joined us for a very successful FacoElche 2026. It was a pleasure to meet colleagues and partners and to discuss the latest developments in the Hanita Lenses portfolio, including Extend™, the world’s first Bessel-optics monofocal plus IOL, designed to provide monofocal-like distance vision with functional intermediate vision.
During this congress, we also presented the new paradigm in refractive cataract care — the combination of the JETT® treatment with our Intensity® Pentafocal IOL — addressing dry eye and ocular surface disease before and after surgery to help patients fully benefit from premium IOL outcomes.
We thank Dr. Vicente Rodríguez, Global Medical Director of JETT Devices, who joined us at the booth to demonstrate the JETT® treatment as part of a comprehensive refractive cataract workflow.
A highlight of this year’s FacoElche was the scientific session delivered by Prof. Gerd Auffarth, who addressed the importance of ocular surface optimization prior to surgery with simultaneous-vision IOLs.
His presentation reflected the growing understanding that achieving consistent outcomes with premium IOLs requires careful management of the ocular surface — an approach aligned with our combination of the JETT® dry eye treatment + the Intensity® Pentafocal IOL for optimal refractive cataract care.
