By Zoya Zilberfarb, Head of Global Marketing
Although the upcoming ESCRS will be the 43rd annual congress of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, this will be my very first time attending as Head of Global Marketing —and I couldn’t be more honored.
I’ll be joining our incredible Hanita Lenses team in Copenhagen, proudly standing among other leading companies, all united by one mission: restoring the gift of vision, one of our most precious senses.
Looking back, my journey with Hanita Lenses began 13 years ago as a Clinical Research Associate. My very first clinical study was with Prof. Roberto Bellucci, who today serves as a Trustee of the ESCRS Congress. To return now, years later, as Head of Global Marketing feels both personally and professionally meaningful.
Each year, Hanita Lenses shines at ESCRS, showcasing the innovation and excellence behind our latest advancements in cataract solutions. From our humble roots in the Galilee region of Israel, we’ve grown into a global force offering a full spectrum of premium intraocular lenses, including:
Extend®
The world’s first Bessel-Optics monofocal plus IOL. It delivers sharp vision from distance to intermediate, offers superior low-light performance, and provides surgical forgiveness via Bessel’s properties.
Intensity® HP Pentafocal IOL
Powered by our Dynamic Light Utilization algorithm (93.5% light efficiency), it:
• Maximizes light efficiency and clarity across conditions
• Delivers continuous vision from distance to near
• Minimizes visual disturbances
• Preserves contrast sensitivity in photopic and mesopic conditions
This year, we’re especially proud to unveil the new paradigm in refractive cataract care: the power couple JETT® + Intensity®.
This is a combined approach to refractive cataract care, designed to treat the ocular surface, combat dry eye, and restore full-range vision. Together, they offer enhanced comfort and optimal outcomes for today’s premium patients.
If you’re attending ESCRS 2025, come visit us at booth C2.082! I’ll be there – grateful, proud, and excited to celebrate how far we’ve come, and how much further we’ll go.
