Scientific presentations at BRASCRS 2026 in São Paulo, Brazil, showcased growing clinical experience with Hanita Lenses’ premium intraocular lens portfolio, including the Intensity® Pentafocal IOL and the Extend™ monofocal plus IOL.
At the Ophthalmos Rohto booth, several lectures shared surgeons’ real-world experience with the technologies:

As part of the official BRASCRS scientific program, Dr. Germán Bianchi also presented “Three-Year Optical Stability and Patient Satisfaction After Bilateral EDOF IOL Implantation,” highlighting three-year clinical outcomes with the Extend™ IOL.
The presented data demonstrated stable visual performance over time, with excellent distance vision and functional intermediate vision maintained three years after surgery. The defocus curve showed visual acuity of −0.01 logMAR at distance, 0.12 logMAR at intermediate, and 0.27 logMAR at near, supporting the long-term optical stability and extended range of vision provided by the Extend™ platform.
These presentations generated valuable scientific discussion around premium IOL technology and the importance of long-term clinical outcomes in refractive cataract surgery.
